This week as we go through some fun ideas for our Thanksgiving tables...we can't forget to include our little ones! Thanksgiving is all about gathering with friends and families. Enjoying one another, good company, and of course giving thanks! :)
At our home we strive to teach our children about thankfulness year round. We do take this time of year though to do a few special little things to really focus on giving a little more.
We will typically give to a family in need. We will try to donate different items to a number of organizations. We talk about how blessed we are to have more than enough and how some families are not as fortunate. The boys have really understood more this year than the past. I think since Colt is growing older, he is able to understand this concept a little more.
We have a thankful tree in our home. A place where we can write down things we are thankful for. It is placed in our kitchen seating area, where we spend a lot of time.

It is a great reminder when our attitudes are not quite where they need to be :)
This year as we celebrate Thanksgiving in our home, I really wanted the boys to have a few little things to enjoy at the table. Things that kept with the theme of "giving". Here are a few ideas I loved!
I could not find the source for this one. If anyone knows please let me know so I can give them credit!
Here are a few other ideas I came across to help teach your children about being thankful!
How do you teach your little ones to give thanks?
Warmly,
Tori
